Hi Everyone:) I've been writing a blog about my younger years and having a blast doing it..I'm going to take a break from 'The Fonz' for a little while..Their are a few ideas I need to share. Collective Buying Power is exploding..A lot of people are familiar with Groupon..If not? Do a little research. I hear this question all the time..Do the Groupon's of the world have a monopoly on this process? My answer every time is the same.."Absolutely, unequivocally, not even close!" A good friend of mine gave me an interesting analogy on how to explain CBP. He said if you really want people to understand something, explain it to them in 'fast food' terms:>
Groupon is McDonald's, lots of money, big head start on the competition, the big player in CBP..LivingSocial is on its way to being the Subway of CBP.. They just received a substantial amount of VC and are expanding rapidly..If Groupon is 'McDonald's' and LivingSocial is 'Subway'..Who is going to be Burger King, Taco Bell, Hardee's:? The point? Enormous amount of room for this sort of concept..
How would you start a CBP site? Think past the money part..Think about the mechanics..Cooperation, organization, marketing..How many of you are familiar with guerrilla marketing? I could go on and on about it but I want people to do their own research..GOOGLE IT..My next post will outline a plausible scenario for a guerrilla marketing strategy in Las Vegas..Have a nice day:> Rob
